POSITION: MICROSOFT OUTLOOK INSTRUCTOR
HOURS: Contract
LOCATION: Toronto, ON
REPORTS TO: Manager, Social Enterprise program
CONTRACT DURATION: 5+ Weeks as of Start Date
SCHEDULE: 5 hours/week once on Saturdays or 2.5 hours/week for twice a week on weekday evenings
START DATE: Immediately

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
This is an accelerated training course in Microsoft Outlook.
Qualifications:
- University degree in related fields;
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook;
- Must have at least 2-10yrs experience in adult teaching/facilitation;
- Must be able to work part time as a Microsoft Outlook facilitator;
- Demonstrated commitment to professional self-development;
- Experience conducting course level assessment of student learning outcomes, and analyzing relevant data, and utilizing the results to improve instruction;
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written;
- Sensitivity to and understanding of issues of concern to immigrants and refugees;
- Initiative, energy, and persistence in completing assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction on Microsoft Outlook;
- Be responsible for classroom and online setup, which includes setting up computers and instruction material to include providing online access codes to students;
- Prepare student evaluations to include performance and learning deficiencies;
- Conduct student counseling and recommend corrective action to ensure acceptable student performance;
- Utilize curriculum that reflect the diverse educational, cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the course participants;
- Develop and maintain an approved program of professional self-development;
- Prepare and revise course outlines, develop curriculum and develop alternate delivery systems for courses where appropriate;
- Update and assess student learning outcomes and develop appropriate assessment instruments;
- Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met;
- Provide tutoring and review sessions for students from time-to-time classroom;
- Utilize curriculum that reflects the diverse educational, cultural and linguistic backgrounds of the course participants;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
