After being in the pivotal centre of a historic inferno, we all wish we had a crystal ball to see what 2021 will hold. While the uncertainties of the COVID-19 pandemic continue to be challenging in terms of jobs and careers, it’s important to gear up for the new normal!
Skills for Change, in collaboration with CPA Ontario took this opportunity to successfully host its annual CPA symposium, “Gearing up for 2021- Skills, Jobs & Careers with CPA and Skills for Change” which focused on providing an outlook of the constantly changing traits of employability skills in light of the pandemic.
The webinar was graced by esteemed panelists from Bell Media, Clarity Recruitment, CIBC, and Linkedin who are subject matter experts and have been passionately working towards guiding prodigies towards a spectacular career.
The panel discussion insightfully focused on networking strategies for working professionals and how these strategies can be re-casted to fit the new normal. A colloquy on the critical topic of skills development in the light of pandemic and how it has shifted its course to virtual training and learning was the symposium’s highlight. The panelists also provided tested tips and techniques on resume writing, putting together a cover letter and self-marketing propositions.
The symposium experience was further augmented by an engaging trivia contest regarding some insightful accounting and finance theorems which perfectly summarized the panel discussion.
We thank you everyone for attending this event and sharing it with your clients and networks!
