Rahma Siad-Togane (she/her) is a Research Associate at the Youth Research and Evaluation Exchange (YouthREX). She co-authored YouthREX’s report: Doing Right Together for Black Youth. Rahma has worked in the non-profit sector for 14 years focussing on youth engagement and settlement services for racialized newcomer Canadians. She is a consulting member of the Jane Finch Collective for Youth Employment- a collective impact collaborative of community stakeholders examining barriers faced by racialized NEET+ youth in Jane Finch. Rahma is also a PhD Candidate at the School of Social Work at York University. Her areas of interest include surveillance and policing within public housing communities, neighborhoods and housing, urban poverty/income polarization, race and policing, youth development, and resiliency.
