Course Overview

QuickBooks is the most widely used accounting software in Canadian businesses. The lead in getting a job, learn QuickBooks the most widely used accounting software in Canadian businesses. You will learn the different uses for each module and journal, be able to set up a company from a template of accounts and print and understand the various reporting features of QuickBooks. This course will take you to advanced features of the latest version of QuickBooks Premier 2019.

  • Company/Partnership/Sole trader set up in QuickBooks
  • Getting around the home page drop down menus, icon tool bar and navigator windows
  • Transaction entries (cash sales, cheques, invoices)
  • Setting up customers and suppliers (A/R and A/P)
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Chart of accounts, journal entries
  • Trial balance, Income statements and balance sheet
  • Accounting for GST/HST
  • Running payroll on QuickBooks
  • Inventory set-up
  • Backing Up and Restoring Data
  • Setting QuickBooks Preferences
  • Overview of the Report Center

Completion

  • Certificate of Completion
  • Tax Receipt Form for tuition fees for courses taken in the calendar year. To qualify, the fees must be more than $100 for the year.

  • Bookkeeping knowledge

Kevin Moloney brings a wide range of skills to his instructor role and covers each course in a patient, methodical and enthusiastic manner covering a broad syllabus in a friendly and professional environment.

He takes a hands on inclusive approach to teaching and with his extensive knowledge of his subject matter he shares his passion of business life with his students while delivering on the course content in his own unique teaching style.

Nabila Nosseir is a Certified Teacher from Ontario College of Teachers. An accounting professional with over 14 years experience at the university level. Nabila has Masters in Accounting and Management Science.  She delivers instruction in a variety of subject areas and corporate training involving dedicated and customized solutions.
