February marks the beginning of #BlackHistoryMonth. Skills for Change will mark this month’s historical importance that honours the legacy of Black individuals.

Every week, we’ll highlight a series of Black Canadians from Mary Ann Shad, the first Black Female newspaper publisher in Canada, to Salome Bey, Canadian singer who was made an honorary Member of the Order of Canada.

We’ll also have a series of recommended reads, watches and lots of other recommends from our staff on Black History Month.

See the message from Skills for Change CEO Surranna Sandy for #BlackHistoryMonth.
