Abi Ajibolade

Abi Ajibolade is the current Executive Director of  The Redwood. She is an attorney called to the Nigerian Bar, and has a Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, National Committee on Accreditation after completion of Law School exams as part of the Canadian requalification process. 

For the last 20 years, she has worked as a popular facilitator and social justice advocate. She has dedicated most of her community work to empowering young people and women. 

Samra Zafar

Kelvin Tran
Kelvin Tran is the Senior Vice President, Finance, of TD Bank Group. He knows first-hand the challenges New Canadians face in adjusting to Canadian life, work and culture. He has made it part of his mission to pass on the lessons he’s learned along the way.
As founding President and Chair of Ascend Canada, a leading non-profit organization, he is doing just that by helping develop the next generation of Pan-Asian leaders. 
Sunder Singh
Sunder Singh immigrated to Canada 48 years ago along with her family. The greater part of her professional career has been spent identifying community issues and finding viable solutions for them. 
Sunder is the Executive Director of Elspeth Heyworth Centre for Women, serving newcomer women since 1992. She started a social enterprise named RivInt Interpretation and Translation Services, providing income opportunities to over 800 interpreters and translators, mainly immigrants, serving the hospitals and corporate sector in the GTA.  
Joe Mihevc

Joe Mihevc served the midtown area as City Councillor for the former City of York and the new City of Toronto. His deep concern for social issues led him to be an advocate for strong neighbourhoods, healthy communities, a clean environment and safe streets.

Joe has an MA and Ph.D. in Theology and Social Ethics (theses on Holocaust Studies and Canadian Mennonites, respectively). He has served in a variety of capacities that have allowed him to demonstrate his concerns for democratic, accessible and responsible government
